Detailed Description

Pike Creek 10 Year Old is a top notch Canadian whisky which gets treated to a finishing period in rum barrels before bottling (previously Pike Creek was finished in Port casks, though the producer changed it to rum barrels at some point in the 2010s). Excellent stuff, and great value-for-money, too.

Pike Creek 10 Year Old Rum Finish Canadian Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Honey’d raisins and pecans, with a spicy little kick of herbaceous rye hiding in there.

Palate: Old-fashioned cola cubes, cardamom heat, caramel and a clear suggestion of good rum.

Finish: Lasting notes of brown sugar and dried oak.
